Loudek kicks off this epic EP with ‘Drop the fire’ a full force concoction of everything Drum and Bass should be. No nonsense, filled with bass, and fast drums. The introduction begins with serene synths and pianos before we are brought to the attention of the rapidly rising darker features. The subtle introduction of the undertones of bass can’t be ignored before a heavy and extremely naughty drop with, a symphony of bass layers.
The second track of the EP, ‘Chaos’ is just that. An action packed track with a monstrous bass that will leave faces distorted. You’ll need to be ready to keep up with this one, even the most seasoned drum and bass head will need to brace themselves.
‘Brothers’ starts with a much different introduction, calm and relaxing piano brings an essence of love and gratitude to this track. ‘Brothers’ is genuinely a moving track, with touching lyrics throughout. Just listen.
The third track of the EP ‘We can’t keep doing this’ can a characteristic slow and steady introduction, however the rest of the track is far from that. With a thomping bass that will leave your speakers in need of a repair, this track lays down it’s mark from the first drop.
Finally we come to ‘Straight back to me’ the perfect track to finish off this well rounded EP from Loudek. With another head bopping bass that flows through the fast action of the finely tuned drums, Loudek has certainly produced with this EP.
