UK based producer, Mistic, is back with Formation records with a 5 track EP of nothing but fire Drum and Bass. ‘Step Back’ is a masterful EP of elite levels of production that every DJ need in their arsenal.
The first track ‘Step Back’ kicks the EP off with an almighty bang. Dirty bass is the main feature of this track, with dark synths adding to the mystery. There is no lack of energy as Mistic perfectly combines multiple layers of bass to leave listeners wanting for more of the opening track.
‘Tip Top’ the second track from the EP is going to be with us for a while. The melodic introduction is the perfect into to the hook bass that makes this track an energy filled piece. It’s hard to get over just how catchy ‘Tip Top’ is, even through the breaks listeners will be yearning more.
As we move onto ‘Slugfest’ the introduction is a sign of this to come in this deep, dark and dirty track. It’s not hard to understand why the track is named so. With bass the really does slug its way through, leaving listeners with a lasting bass face.
’11 dimensions’ takes listeners through more than 11 dimensions with Si-Fi feeling synths that create a hardcore drum and bass track. High energy, deep bass and momentary contrasts throughout gives listeners an unrivalled listening experience.
The final track of the EP ‘The Yard’ is the perfect creation to round off this epic EP. With similarity within the bass as ‘Tip Top’, the production is top class. Expect this track to lingering in your head for days after listening.
