Streetz of rage – one of Formation newest exclusive signings – presents to you the ‘Orbital decay E.P. The 4 piece from Birmingham have a unique sound within the scene. Working on their production skills and honing them in to produce such a high quality E.P has clearly payed off.
The first track of the E.P, ‘Orbital decay’ sees deep bass paired with high hats to create a rhythmic balance that will have heads rocking on dance floors. The swells of the bass are unmissable and take the listener on a real journey throughout the track.
Track two sees the 4 piece link of with Formation records head boss, DJ SS, for ‘Antidote’, featuring a hard hitting bass with vocal samples that are very timely for the current situation. The progression of the hard hitting bass introduced after the perfectly timed introduction keeps listeners hooked throughout the track. The addition of soft synths creates a contrast of perfect harmony.
The third track has long introduction that builds up to a speaker blowing addition of bass that is characteristic of the E.P. The quick and light drum pattern keeps the track moving along to a through breaks, but the bass can’t be forgotten as its quickly whipped back in.
In the final track we have not time to wonder what to expect, which a fast drum pattern from the outset, a slow and low bass accompanies for an awesome combination of sound. The track features a characteristic vocal sample of the E.P that is fitting of the ‘Orbital decay’ title of the E.P.
