In taxonomy, a tetratype refers to four-part inheritance, the recombination of alleles into new configurations. In consecration, Tetratype signals the point where heaven introduces a recombinant form of humanity — one not sustained by might or power, but by the Spirit of God alone.¹
Psalm 89 sets the stage: covenant love fixed forever in the skies, enthronement secured in loyal faithfulness.² Isaiah 2 then projects this into the eschaton: nations streaming to Zion, swords beaten into plowshares, the royal priesthood emerging from rest rather than war.³ Exodus 19 confirmed it: Israel borne on eagles’ wings, consecrated as a kingdom of priests.⁴ Yet Isaiah 66 cuts deeper: God will not dwell in temples made with human hands, but only in the humble, trembling, God-made vessel.⁵
Daniel embodies this crisis in Babylon. Nebuchadnezzar demanded both dream and interpretation, a task no flesh could perform.⁶ Only revelation from the God who “dwells not with flesh” could unveil the secret. The answer was a stone “cut without hands,” the artifact that smashes empires and grows into a mountain.⁷ David’s sling-stone and Stephen’s martyrdom echo the same motif: life given in weakness becomes the seed of an indestructible kingdom.⁸ In genomic terms, Tetratype is the recombination event: parental types (Moses, David) joined with recombinant types (Daniel, Stephen), forming a fourfold witness to a new genetic lineage.⁹
This new lineage is characterized by rest. Nebuchadnezzar was humbled until he lifted his eyes and confessed God’s eternal dominion, his madness healed only by royal rest.¹⁰ Daniel, captive yet consecrated, received visions not from human brilliance but from God in the night.¹¹ Stephen, slain yet seeing the Son of Man standing, embodied the recombined type: slain in flesh, but alive in Christ.¹²
Tetratype, then, is where consecration becomes recombinant DNA in the Spirit: a demured genetic form, hidden yet cut and crafted by God Himself, spliced into humanity. It is the fusion of law and grace, stone and Spirit, rest and rule. It is the genomic preparation for Gemini, where codons are not only sequenced but stress-tested across history, liturgy, ethics, and eschaton.
The four witnesses — Sinai, Babylon, the Valley of Elah, and Jerusalem’s gates — together form the recombinant strain of glorified humanity. The stone rejected by builders is revealed as the tetratype: the keystone of the new creation genome.
