rêves sonores à Montréal is a collaboration between musicians Nick Schofield (electronics) & Stefan Christoff (piano). a series of tonal works exploring harmony but also the spaces in between, deeply reflective but also illustrative of a sense of urgency about the major injustices facing our world.
rêves sonores à Montréal is rooted in piano recordings done by Jordan Christoff in Victoria in the summer of 2013, on an old upright piano from the early 20th century. beginning in spring/summer 2014 in Montreal, Nick and Stefan began explores ideas and collaborating toward an album that is rooted in raw piano but clearly extends beyond into beautiful spaces.
