Listen

Description

Please enjoy this picture of me at EDC Vegas circa 2013.

Today's episode is for anyone who loves to experience live music through the immersive experience that is the multi-day music festival.

Music festivals come in all shapes and sizes and span nearly every genre of music. There's something really special about gathering in community with like minded people to listen and dance to your favorite artists.

I've personally been to over 15 multi-day festivals for electronic music and rock over the last decade. I absolutely love them and hope they will continue to be a part of my life for a long time to come.

One thing all music festivals have in common is that they can take a toll on your health. Long days and nights, disrupted eating and sleeping schedules, time in the hot sun, exposure to loud music and tons of time on your feet can really wear you down by day 3 or beyond.

People in their early twenties might be able to get through a music festival without many physical consequences.

For the rest of us, taking care of our bodies with a few simple steps can go a long way towards increasing your enjoyment of the event and can reduce lengthy recovery times when you come home.

Check out the episode for my top tips for staying healthy at a music festival, learned over the last 10 years of personal experience. I'm going to a new festival this weekend and will be employing all of these tips myself.
