Few comedians can boast a background in Fire Protection Engineering. Even fewer actually know what the heck Fire Protection Engineering is! Comedian Landry hails from outside of Toronto Canada and worked in the FPE world for a years before diving into the world of Stand Up Comedy head first and allowing faith in his talent to guide him where it may. Landry takes us on his journey as the product of both a Jamaican Father that enjoys Earth’s natural herbs & a Redneck mother that can kick the legs off of prosthetic Guatemalan's. We learn about his relocating to Atlanta, Georgia and how he developed what he thought was a brilliant first 5 minutes onstage. Dean & Landry also discuss the specifics & economics of comedy classes and how Landry went from open mics to strategically preparing to quit Fire Protection, to winning the Boston Comedy Festival and the World Series of Comedy. Landry has become a favorite headlining comic that just got the news that he is chosen to appear on the 2015 season of “America’s Got Talent” on NBC networks and they talk about the importance of being “likeable” & “charming” in order to succeed on television. The two also tell the story about awkwardly dancing in the Salsa club on the ship to getting more comfy to the DJ’s Reggae set. Landry is now one of Dean’s favorite’s to work with and hopes you go check him out live or online somewhere @ComedianLandry as we break bread, continue our Road Warriors Series …and the learn “problem with having curly hair.” We In the Building, son!
