Jesus wants us to know we are in the same place as those in the day of Noah who didn't make it onto the ark. Because they weren't paying attention to what was happening, they perished. If we are not paying attention, if we are not in fellowship with Jesus, the same will happen to us. We will perish for a lack of knowing we haven't done His will, thus not being ready.
