WHEN ENOUGH ISN’T ENOUGH
God made you who you are therefore, who you are, is enough. He completed who you are, you are a finished sculpture made in His likeness. He made you to be enough for Him, and if you’re enough for Him then you are enough. You are enough, even for those who say you are not enough —in words and actions.
Jesus, He is enough. He is complete, the Son of Man —fully enough! He is more than enough, more than you can ask, think, or imagine —He is enough. If you don’t think He is enough then you haven’t let Him be enough. You have judged Him by only what you can see, by your standards, what meets your eye —only as far as you have looked.
Looked, judged and then walked away?
If you look no further than what you can see with your natural eye, you won't see the enough that Jesus is. But, if you let Him express Himself without judging Him, you will see the beauty in Him, the Who that He is.
The same is true for you. You are enough, and if one looks at you past what meets the eye, they will see the enough that you are. Looking further, by taking the time to want to see who you are, they will see.
When you can freely express yourself, when you can be comfortable with the person (the enough) you were created to be, the who, God created you to be, you can then be truly happy.
When who you are isn’t sufficient, isn’t enough for someone, then like Jesus did, it is time to move on. Jesus didn’t attempt to become like the religious rulers to be their enough, He didn’t conform to their standard of enough. But, He walked away.
When you are asked to conform to another's standard to be accepted, to change to be like them to fit in, it is time to walk away. When you walk away, know ahead of time you will be lied about, ridiculed, and judged. Be okay with it. You don’t have to be their enough —but His.
His enough of you, is sufficient for Him.
When you transform to be like Jesus, you won’t be enough for them anymore. You won’t be liked. Jesus said they hated Me first, now they will hate you. It’s okay, expect it and be okay with it. If you look back you will go backwards and miss out on the beautiful person you were created to be.
If you look back you will become a pillar of salt.
In Judaism, one common view of Lot's wife turning to salt was as punishment for disobeying the angels' warning. By looking back at the "evil cities," she betrayed her secret longing for that way of life. She was deemed unworthy to be saved and thus was turned to a pillar of salt. Reference google
Enough defined— to a degree or quantity that satisfies or that is sufficient or necessary for satisfaction: sufficiently, fully, quite —completely, fully, entirely, totally, wholly, absolutely, utterly without qualification, thoroughly, perfect, unconditionally, limitless.
