Jan Harlan acted as Kubrick’s executive producer on major films including The Shining (1980), and Eyes Wide Shut (1999). He shares anecdotes and insights into several of Kubrick’s films.

Jan Harlan acted as Kubrick’s executive producer on all Kubrick’s films from Barry Lyndon onwards, and worked on other unrealised projects. After Kubrick’s death in 1999, Harlan worked with Steven Spielberg on A.I. Artificial Intelligence, made two documentary films for Warner Bros., as well as other independent projects. Harlan is a guest-lecturer at different film-schools and often serves on juries at film festivals. He was instrumental in the formation of the Stanley Kubrick Archive at the University of the Arts London and in creating a large exhibition on Stanley Kubrick with the German Filmmuseum. He lives in Hertfordshire, UK.
