This was my entry for Lane 8's remix competition of his track "Brightest Lights" the title track from his latest album. The track features the beautiful vocals of POLIÇA.
Update, unfortunately I didn't win but big thanks to Daniel (Lane 8) for the nice feedback - I do appreciate it. I also did receive his personal permission to post my remix on my page.
For my my remix I decided to slow the vocals from 128bpm to 114bpm and transpose the key from A#maj to Gmin. This proved challenging but rewarding.
I tried to keep my remix stripped back, emotional but tried to still maintain enough groove. The synth introduced before the final drop was the finishing piece to my remix and added just what I felt the remix needed.
I tackled the mixing & mastering process on my own and learnt a lot. Quite proud of my final master.
