The third footballer to come for a chat, after Ricky Hill and George Scott, was a man known as Buster. Bromley-born Graham Tutt played for Workington and Charlton Athletic before an accident curtailed his career in the English game.
His book Never Give Up, written with Matt Eastley, is a fine memoir of a man whose love of football has taken him across the world. He spent a few years in South Africa before moving to America where he has remained for four decades. As well as coaching, Buster’s passion is preparing a co-ed mixed soccer league. He died in June 2022.
