West Ham United fan Danny wrote a book centred around the last game at the Boleyn Ground, Boleyn’s Farewell, and has written pieces for These Football Times on Julian Dicks and Paolo di Canio.
His latest book is When Asia Welcomed The World, a look back on a tournament which took place when Danny was six years old. The 2002 World Cup in Japan and South Korea climaxed with the redemption of the Brazilian Ronaldo, whose two goals in the final against Germany put the icing on a fascinating tournament.
Turkey reached the semi-finals, David Beckham scored his penalty and Roy Keane packed his bags and left Saipan.
