In 2000, Danny was named Premier League Manager of the Month while manager of Sheffield Wednesday. He had already managed Barnsley in the top tier after a 20-year playing career with Bury, Chesterfield, Luton, Brighton, Wednesday and, for a few months, Nottingham Forest.
His memoir I Get Knocked Down details his 40 years in the football industry, which took him around the country and included over a thousand games in the dugout.
