Dean has used his experience in the football industry to set up Oporto Sports Management. Based in Leicester, he offers bespoke services to professionals who want to branch out into speaking, coaching or other work. He was instrumental in the deal which took Nigel Pearson (pictured) to Watford FC in 2019.
Dean has worked with Darius Vassell, rugby star Neil Back and Emile Heskey on their memoirs; Emile’s book Even Heskey Scored was shortlisted for the Telegraph Sports Book Awards. Dean has a book in the works about Leicester City in the 1990s; he was briefly the club’s media manager.
