Professor Jean Williams is one of the foremost authorities on the women’s game, having been Professor of Sport at the Institute of Sport and Human Sciences at the University of Wolverhampton. Currently a visiting professor, Jean has recently adapted her academic book A Game For Rough Girls? into A History of Women’s Football, which includes quotation from some of the most important pioneers of the game.
