Based in Berlin, Kit has been writing about German football for a decade for various publications and websites. In that time Union Berlin have become a top-level Bundesliga club and will enter the Europa League in the 2022/23 season. In 2005, they were in the fifth tier but climbed the divisions through discipline and a strong fan ownership.
Kit has documented this rise in his book Scheisse! We’re Going Up! whose title explains the dichotomy of a fan-run club competing against RB Leipzig, Bayern Munich and the best teams on the continent.
