The journalist whose step count is incalculable, Michael has a Red Room in his house where he keeps his collection of books about Manchester United. He has written some of them, including Betrayal of a Legend and The Boss. He was also instrumental in opposing Rupert Murdoch’s takeover of the club. Having worked for BBC and Channel 4 as a political reporter (football writing is his hobby).
Michael reports weekly on political issues for Mail Plus. The second half is heavier on politics, while this first half has a big MUFC focus.
