Cardiff City fan Rhys went back to 1978 in his book Blood on the Crossbar, the story of the Dictatorship’s World Cup held in Argentina.
The host nation enjoyed a famous victory that sent three of their players to England (who were absent), but players boycotted and journalists spoke to mothers protesting the capture of their sons.
Rhys is the 272nd visitor (counting all visits individually) to the Football Library, which will take an extended break until 2023. Look out for the novella Moz Winter: Albion Manager later in the month.
