Carlisle United fan Roger has just published a memoir of his time as a local journalist, Panic As Man Burns Crumpets. It follows a look at statues around the UK called On A Pedestal.
In 2004, Roger helped goalkeeper Jimmy Glass write his book One Hit Wonder, centred around the moment Glass will always be remembered for: scoring a last-minute goal to keep Carlisle in the Football League and, some say, in existence.
