If you’re a fan of Scottish football, you will doubtless spend four hours every weekend listening to Off The Ball, co-presented by St Johnstone fan Stuart. His 70 years have taken him from Perth to Hull to Rochdale to London, via the NME, Channel 4 and the recent Talk Media podcast.
He’s also written a trilogy of books on black music in the late 1960s, which will become a tetralogy in 2022 with the publication of Hey America. His contribution to football literature was Hampden Babylon, about the old days of Scottish football.
