Today, the church is so busy defining itself as victims, as marginalised, that we forget Jesus came and served those in the margins, those pushed aside by big government, religion, and business. Those are who he came for. But by his calling, we stepped into the light and left the margins. We found family and identity in Jesus. He saved us from the margins. Saved us so that we could save others. NOT so that we could claim to be victims in need of being saved, denying the fact that we became big religion.
Today, the true church is still in the margins, pulling those in need into the light, giving them identity and family. Giving them salvation.
Big Church just became big religion, a marginalizing beast like its counterparts in government and business.
