In this Film Ireland Podcast, we are joined by Iffy Festival Director Duncan McKenna, filmmaker Jack Thornton (Love Lane United) and Aoife Nic Ardghail (Casual).
Last November saw the first edition of the iffy Short Film Festival, a bite-sized selection of shorts for Liffey-side lovers of film. The festival will be making its return early next month, with another batch of movie bouches. A festival that embraces and celebrates the potential and power of the short film on its own merits, iffy will be returning for its 3rd edition in the coming weeks, with 9 films to be shown in total.
On Saturday 6th of July the iffy Film Festival will be back in the Pearse Centre Theatre on Pearse Street for another carefully curated selection of short films. Since beginning in the hopes of provoking more discussion and more attention for short films, the festival has provided an outlet for the work of emerging talents, and good post-screening chats about the selections over a drink, always something to be celebrated in the fair city of film. The evening will begin at 7pm with a reception with a free glass of wine or hot chocolate provided for all attendees, followed by the screening at 7:30pm. The screening will run for about an hour and a half, with limited seating available.
