The Book Report is a series where KALW talks to local authors about the books they love. Today we hear from Adam Johnson, a Pulitzer Prize-winning writer living in San Francisco, who's discussing Marlon James' A Brief History of Seven Killings.
JOHNSON: I do believe that readers instantly care about characters that are trapped. Who are in some circumstance that are beyond their control.
Johnson's latest collection of stories, Fortune Smiles, was released August 18th.
