Each season, THE INTERSECTION podcast looks at a changing neighborhood or city through a physical intersection — you know, a street corner. This season the city is temporary and the intersections are conceptual. Because we are going to Burning Man.
A little history. Over the last 30-plus years the event has grown from a few dozen people on San Francisco’s Baker Beach to upwards of 80 thousand in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert and now spans nearly seven square miles of dry cracked land — the size of Manhattan below 42nd Street.
