DanceTrippin.TV presents: DJ Mix #508 with DJ Koyote (@dj-koyote)!
DJ Koyote, or Alexandre Lotz in real life, is a DJ and producer from Paris, France. He found his passion for electronic music back in 1997, heavily inspired by Detroit scene, citing Jeff Mills and Joey Beltram among the many. Eventually, Koyote ended up falling for more raw and unpolished beats of ghetto-tech - DJ Funk, DJ Assault, DJ Godfather, Disco D. In 2003, he visited Detroit and Chicago, spread out his branches even further. His french crew Family Werks was the one responsible for bringing booty sounds to the European land.
Fast forward to today, his works got released on Mixpak and Sound Pellegrino, labels known worldwide. It was just a matter of time until he got his hands to establish his own mark on the scene - this is how his Supergenius Records (@supergeniusrecords) imprint was born.

DJ KOYOTE: "This mix is the first one of a series called the « New French Scene » which showcases exclusively French Music. It borrows its name from 90’s Detroit’s cult TV show « The New Dance Show ». Most of the tracks in the mix are certainly danceable too and will certainly make you do a few turns on the carpet.
Though it doesn’t focus on a certain scene out of a certain city, it’s a sort of sound reaction to the normalization and globalization of electronic music through the Internet. You’ll find new and classics tracks, known and less known producers, some are friends and some tracks are released on my label Supergenius Records. Most of the tracks in this first episode turn around the Detroit / Chicago house sound and French 70’s synth music.
