French artist Moraze impresses once more with a new EP on the Instance Records label, ‘Zephyr’. His two top originals are backed with a remix from Modeplex. Classically trained and with a real love of melody and deeper emotion, Moraze shows that off in these latest tracks. An artist that devotes much time and energy on his craft, and continues to pave his way up the ladder. You can feel the devotion to sound Moraze provides. These are just a few of the many reasons he is one to watch throughout 2019.

Opener ‘Dupleix’ is six superb minutes of hypnotic techno music with cosmic melodies. Keys and synths are layered up into colourful tapestries that take you into the cosmos. No escaping the spiralling rhythms here, gripping at times. ‘Tolbaic’ is then deeper and more paired back, with rolling drums and haunting pads setting an absorbing atmosphere that gets taken over by more of Moraze’s fantastic synth work. This is more of a heads down affair, moody percussions take the mind elsewhere. The Modeplex remix reworks Dupleix into a more driving cut that takes you on a real progressive adventure, as intelligently arranged layers continue to mould the track.Inspiring music from a rising talent.
