An original synthwave track with vocals by... me! I was pretty far out of my comfort zone for this track, but I've been wanting to try singing for a long time... so why not go for it!
Glimmer started as a future bass pop song, but while Helynt and I were working on our upcoming game music EP "ZeldaWave", we had the idea to try Glimmer in the same style.
Helynt used iZotope Vocal Synth to transform my pop vocals into the synthy 80s reharmonization you hear in this song. Then I wrote a new verse to sing without the vocoder. We felt it gave this song a nice balance between robotic and human sounding vocals.
