Of Paradise sublabel, Badlands, emerges from an extended slumber with a new offering from label co-founder Silent Era: Emerald Pool, a four-track EP of ambient and experimental soundscapes crafted entirely from field recordings gathered in Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks during the autumn of 2024.
Stripped back and delicately nuanced, Silent Era’s sonic journey through California’s forests and mountains is both blissful and haunting – a meditative unfolding of nature’s rhythm that invites the listener to reflect on the planet and their connection to it.
Accompanied by a limited-edition photo zine with incense, Emerald Pool delivers a deeply immersive experience and signals the beginning of a new chapter of sonic experimentation from the artist.
