Biography:
Bakari Carneiro was born in Angola in 1992, having moved to Portugal when he was only four months old.
After attending his first Drum and Bass party in 2007, he began revealing a special interest in this culture. He acquired his first set of turntables in the winter of 2009 and in 2010 began playing at official parties around Portugal but mainly on Porto under the name Atomic. Ever since he has been marked by a growing and galloping progress with this, being now a part of Garagem, the elder of the portuguese DnB agency and markets. In 2014 he achieved the 2013 Best Upcoming Drum’n’bass DJ, this award was given by Cows on Patrol, a famous portuguese D’n’B forum. He has already played with names such as Aeph, Alix Perez, Audio, Benvinda, Cabbie, Callide, Chris Renegade, Cooh, Counterstrike, Crissy Criss, Emperor, Erb'n'Dub, Hallucinator, Joe Ford, Lucio de Rimanez, Maztek, Mefjus, Memtrix, Mind Vortex, Motion Sickness, Nagato, Noisia, Prolix, Propaganda, State of Mind, Sub Focus, Switch Technique, Tantrum Desire, The Clamps and Triamer. His main influences are Neonlight, Mefjus, Receptor, Encode, Noisia, Spor, Black Sun Empire, Xilent, Apex, Aeph, Audio and many more.
