Dean Carl Singley has had a diverse professional career as a practicing attorney in the private and public sectors, and as a legal educator and administrator. Mr. Singley was a law professor at Temple University from 1974 to 2004 when he retired as a professor emeritus, and served as dean of Temple University’s Beasley School of Law from 1983-1987.
In 1987, Mr. Singley founded at one time the largest African American Law firm in Philadelphia; and has served in the public legal sector as the First Deputy City Solicitor for the City of Philadelphia, Special Council to the MOVE Commission, Special Counsel to the Philadelphia City Council; and Chairman of the Mayor’s Commission on Construction Industry Diversity.
