Dr. James Wright's research highlights how educational policy and education leadership discourses and practices contribute to a repressive school experience for minority students and their communities.
Dr. Wright’s areas of specialization includes leadership in ethnic studies, achievement gap discourses in education; and inequities and injustices in K-12 school polities.
He joins Dr. Peterson for this week's Tuesday teach-in segment to share with us work as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Education Leadership at San Diego University, his book Heirs of the Great Migration: How The Past Became The Future, and his move to Philadelphia as he continues his career at Temple University in the Fall
