Marvin DeBose is Assistant Chief of the North Neighborhood Library Clusters at the Free Library of Philadelphia. Lifelong Philadelphia native and committed library professional with over 20 years of service at the Free Library of Philadelphia, with career spanned roles as Branch Manager and Adult/Teen Librarian, with a strong focus on community engagement, literacy, and youth empowerment.
Mr. DeBose is passionate about the Overbrook Park branch’s Urban Fiction collection—the largest in the Free Library system—along with being the Founder of the Teen Street Lit Book Club, and his work with the Pennsylvania African American Library Association.
