As part of our Enduring Faith series, Ps. Andre & Ps. Janice shared on how to navigate and heal from Church Wounds. At times, the church that Jesus has built fails to reflect its founder. There are moments in time that call for an honest assessment and critique of the church - to identify where we have gone astray, weed out corruption and align ourselves back to Christ and His ways.
At the same time, as a community, we must recognise that our wounds do not bear the final words. Jesus himself was wounded to the point of the cross, yet He remains committed and true to His people. Even in our wounds, we too can remain steadfast to the church.
For those who have been hurt, we pray that Jesus will bind your wounds, and through the work of the spirit, bring healing and redemption. Let’s grow to becoming a healthier and safer community that reflects Jesus’ love, life and commitment to the Church.
