Pst Andre shared from Matthew 18:21, in his sermon, Forgiving As We Have Been Forgiven. Expounding on the parable where Jesus shows Peter that our forgiveness and our willingness to forgive should be limitless, Pst Andre reminded us that the call to forgiveness is core to being a follower of Jesus in our world today.
Just as we’ve been forgiven a debt that we couldn’t repay, Jesus calls us to now forgive and extend that same mercy and grace to others, by releasing them of the debt “owed” to us, and no longer holding their trespasses against them.
May we ponder: What does Jesus’ call to forgiveness mean for us in our individual lives? We pray that you were blessed by the word and that you’ll discover a renewed revelation of God’s love and forgiveness upon our lives as you seek Him.
