Pst Janice continued our Lent series, Christ Our Example, with a sermon on Following in His Submission.
Unpacking Jesus’ experience in the garden of gethsemane, Pst Janice reminded us of how Jesus embraced the anguish of His impending crucifixion, and yet, ultimately chose to submit to the will of the Father, with his absolute trust in God’s faithfulness.
As we reflect on our own lives, do we submit to God from a place of trust, and dependence on His mercy and power? As we continue to journey toward Easter, may we pray for God to lead us into a deeper level of surrender and submission, that we may walk in the steps of Jesus and be formed into His likeness.
