We had the honour of having Dr. Tan Soo Inn share God’s word with us. Speaking from John 13:1-17, he expounded on servant leadership, and how Jesus challenged the mindset and structure of the disciples by washing their feet, a task that was usually done by the youngest or most junior member of the household in those days. With this act, he demonstrated what leaders of the kingdom look like - ones that humble themselves to serve the Lord and also others.
May we learn to be feet-washing people, ones who would stoop down to serve others and wash their feet, and have a humble heart that’s open to receiving ministry from God and from the people around us.
