Pst Andre continued our sermon series, Let Them Hear, and shared from Jesus’ letter to the church of Sardis in Revelation 3. In understanding the characteristics of death, according to Jesus - hypocrisy, rebellion, and legalism - we are given a sobering reminder that God looks beyond the outside appearance of performative works, but at our hearts; as He desires a people that are spiritually alive in Him.
Yet, as with the church of Sardis, death is not without hope, if we repent, and endeavour to finish our race well. May we heed the words of Jesus, and desire to come back to a place of deep intimacy with Him, as we embrace His call to live for Him and His purposes in our world.
