Ps. Andre spoke on the very timely subject of attention, in particular highlighting how it’s getting increasingly harder to be present in the moment with ourselves, with others, and with God. Ps. Andre reminded us once again that prayer, at its root, is simply paying attention to God. But when we’re so easily distracted by the things around us and our thoughts drift, even spending time with God is difficult, and that distraction can lead to disillusionment and disobedience.
Let us thus pay attention to what we pay attention to, and be conscious of taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ - when we’re able to be fully present with God, it leads to adoration and ultimately a deeper spiritual relationship with Him.
