“We were hopelessly sinful, but God made us a new creation in Christ to walk with Him in good works” - @timothyshaun
In week four of our sermon series, Immeasurably More, Tim taught from Ephesians 2:1-10, how God intervened when we were in hopeless condition — dead to sin, influenced by power, slave to the flesh and saved us immeasurably by making us a new creation. With the revelation that we now have been made alive and seated with Christ, we are reminded to walk with God in good works, as we share in Jesus’ life, authority and dominion.
Tim challenged us to ponder on what it means to be saved and how our lives in the here and now ought to experience a complete reorientation and radical shift that propels us to labour for God’s kingdom with joy and zeal.
As we go about our new week, may we reflect on our inheritance as co-heirs with Jesus with thanksgiving and joyfully use what we are given to serve God and others. Let’s meditate on the Lordship prayer further as we spend unhurried time in the loving presence of God to grow in fruitful friendship with Him.
