Ps. Christine encouraged us to be a nurturing church. Speaking from Romans 12:9-21, we learnt what love in action looks like, and how we are called to behave as followers of Christ. She emphasised 3 key points on what a nurturing community should be:
1. One with the right heart posture, expressing love that is sincere and honouring, not self-serving.
2. One that is present and shows up through seasons, holding space for people to open up.
3. One that is patient and shows grace even through conflict, focusing on forgiveness and restoration.
In a world where people are spiritually neglected, may we be a spiritually nurturing church where those who are hurting can heal. May we also experience God’s nuture first so that we can be the physical expression of His love and care to the people around us.
