Obituary for Deborah Green Bradford

Deborah (Debbie) Green Bradford born Deborah Avern Ecklin, daughter of
the late Eleanor (Noni) Ecklin-Walton and the late Roderick Thomas, was
born June 7, 1955, in Waterbury, CT. Debbie attended the Waterbury
Public school system and then proceeded to get her high school diploma
from Waterbury Adult Education. She then moved and settled into
Orlando, Florida, in 1987. At an early age, she developed a passion for
planting and gardening. Debbie had a green thumb and grew plants all
over her house.

Debbie met her first love Andrew Paris on Johnson St. in Waterbury, CT
and together they were blessed with their loving daughter, Stephanie
Michelle Ecklin-Hope (her eldest child). In 1980, Debbie met and married
her first husband who she loved dearly, the late Lawrence Green in
Bridgeport, CT and this loving union was blessed with one beautiful
daughter, Kwana Marie Green-Thompson.

In 1992, Debbie met her second husband, Johnny Bradford. Debbie
and Johnny shared a special love and lived in together for more
than 20 years in Orlando. Together they loved traveling, family
gatherings, playing bid whisk and spades with her good friends (the
late Joanne) and most of all watching and being around their kids
and grandkids. Debbie retired from Torrington Special Products in
Torrington, CT and then went on to work for First Union Bank in
Orlando.

During this time, she obtained a certification in Information Technology
but was forced to retire after being diagnosed with MS in 2003. After
which, Debbie dedicated her time to loving and caring for her family.
Debbie loved to take pictures and captured every memory imaginable
with her polaroid camera.

Debbie had a love for dancing, and one of her proudest moments was
when she won a dance contest when she was in her 20’s; she was the
last one dancing after nearly 2 days. Her influence will forever remain
in the lives of all who knew her. Her beautiful life will forever be
cherished.

She leaves behind her two daughters, Stephanie Ecklin-Hope and her
husband Forest Hope of Palm Coast, FL. Kwana Green-Thompson and
her husband Sharran Thompson of Orlando, FL. Her brother Anthony
(Tony) Thomas and his wife Carolyn Thomas of Cincinnati, OH. Six
grandchildren; Anthonya, Elexus, Stefany, Qujuan, Zyaire, and Tzion.
Five great grandchildren; Royal, Dante, Torriell, Notorious, and
Journ’ee. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins; and some who were like
her brothers and sisters, Ray, Jean, Troy, and Luke.

Debbie is predeceased by her siblings, the late Roderick Thomas Jr.,
the late Virginia (Boot) Ecklin, the late Brenda Thomas-Notice, and the
late Calvin (Keith) Walton. She leaves behind three brothers, Anthony
(Tony) Thomas of Cincinnati OH, Sevic & Asa Walton, both of
Waterbury, CT.

The Home Going Service for Deborah will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 75 Pine Lakes Road, Palm Coast, Florida 32164. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM.
