Description

March for Science will be taking place April 22nd. Chicago has big plans, join us for a conversation on how the funding cuts affect Chicago, where and how to participate, and general fun science talk.

15:20 “Science is inherently better when it is questioned by a diverse set of perspectives. And Wile you can at an intellectual level you can try to assume those perspectives by your self, it is so much better when you have people who have inherently come from different perspectives, have had different experiences, come from different backgrounds. And so that's why it's so important to the scientific method itself to have that sort of diversity, gender, race, physical ability, background, ethnicity, life experience, socioeconomic status, all those experiences if coming together to question not only what science are we conducting but who benefits from that science and what do the results from that science means, I think we'll lead to better results and that's why we value so much the role of a diverse science, of an ethical science on a diverse platform"
