The Syrian Community Network provides services to 180 refugee families in the Chicagoland Area. We spoke with President and Executive Director, Suzanne Akhras Sahloul about the services they provide, the misconceptions of refugees--or as she likes to call them "our new friends"--, and how they are acclimating to life in the United States. You can learn more about their work here at http://syriancommunitynetwork.org/web/ .
