Description

Now that Chicago's historic Mayoral election has passed and Lori Lightfoot has been elected as the first African American Woman to hold the post in the city's history, let's take a look at some of the challenges and opportunities facing the new administration. Policing, Economic Development, and punitive revenue generation that often falls on the backs of the most vulnerable are a few of the areas we look at in this episode.
Our second segment is the weekly Chicagoland Jobs Report with Employment Specialist Extraordinaire, Kimberly S. Pearson of the Chicago Urban League.
Tariq closes out the program joined by Assistant Producer, Ibrahim Baig with a reminder of the humanitarian crisis facing Muslims in China (Uighur) as nearly a million of them have been incarcerated in concentration camps for nothing more than being Muslim.
