Our guest in this segment are Dr. Virginie Andre, a research fellow from Victoria University in Melbourne Australia, her colleague Onni Sarvela and CAIR-Chicago Executive Director Ahmed Rehab. Dr. Virginie and Mr. Sarvela have just concluded a 2 day workshop at CAIR-Chicago's offices where they engaged front line practitioners (journalist/writers) about the way they cover terrorism. The purpose of the workshop, and the crux of our conversation is about media representation and its contribution toward radicalization--whether it be anti-Muslim, white supremacist, or religious extremism.
