Sound The Alarm opens with “5778.” Framed by a theatrical, vocally focused intro and break, the track drops with the drama of a rock opera. Its cinematic impact is deceptively simple, utilizing age-old tricks from the music theory and composition manual with minimal execution that would lend well to an instrumental cover (anybody up for the challenge?). Yet Ternion Sound writes from inside the mind of the dance floor: the repetition in “5778” plays to the meditative tradition of deep dubstep, yet contains enough clever variation to keep listeners on their toes.
