SPEEDCOMP 19 + TRACKER SPECIAL PART 15
The 19th installment of Speedcomp followed the Renoise Workshop for Square Sounds 2016 run by Hedonist and Melt Unit in Melbourne.
SpeedComp: Make a song in half an hour using only ten samples without thinking too much. Use only the ten samples provided. Use whatever software or hardware you like. Don’t use VSTIs, etc. The aim of Speedcomp is to do something interesting with the samples in a limited time, and not to transform the sounds into something totally unrecognisable. There is no time limit for tracks, but don’t drone on for ages though. There are no winners.
The ten samples were chosen by for this round by Eater Of Sheep and posted up on the Facebook event page at 4:15 pm AEST Saturday 5th of March. After half an hour, participants were to post a downloadable link of your effort back up onto the page.
