SPEEDCOMP 21 + TRACKER SPECIAL PART 16
Speedcomp is a pointless online competition to make a song in half an hour, limiting yourself to ten previously unheard samples (and no other sounds). The samples are selected by a different person each round - Dee Kubes doing so this round. A link to the sample pack was posted on the Facebook event page at 7:30pm (AEST) on Friday 15th July. All entries were played on the show on the following evening.
“Use whatever software or hardware you like. Don’t use VSTIs etc. The aim of Speedcomp is to do something interesting using the 10 samples provided in a limited time. Not transform the sounds into something totally unrecognisable. Maximum track length 5 minutes. There are no winners. All tunes are also linked to their Soundcloud or download file on the Thematics Tumblr page.
