We have a date with Romans Chapter 8!
Rest from your doing?
Why do we do what we do?
Is it an obligation or duty?
Is it to please others or to earn a position with God?
Romans 8 points to the “Ultimate Rest.” Rest in Him, this is not a rest from going and growing, but a rest from doing. Doing it in your own strength, doing it in order to fulfill the law, or in order to please.
“Please Stop!” It is impossible to “please” God without faith. If you want to please God, please rest in the grace that God has given us, through faith, in Christ.
In Christ, not according to the flesh. Weak flesh leads to condemnation; strong flesh leads to self-righteousness and boasting.
On this date with Romans 8, let us, together, rest from the flesh.
